Development Funds

Atomic Productions operates three funds that provide financial and development assistance to independent filmmakers, directors and producers.These funds provide capital funding and often finance pre-production, post-production, marketing and distribution. Each fund has a limited annual investment but accepts applications from prospective funding recipients througout the year.

African Wildlife, Science, Nature Programming Development Fund

Atomic Productions provides varied levels of funding for specifically for the development and production of science, nature and wildlife programming relating to African topics. This fund provides development funding for programming aimed at international audiences and that explores issues of broad appeal to those audiences.

African Documentary Development Fund

Atomic Productions also provides varied levels of funding for specifically for the development and production of long-form documentaries about more general African topics. This fund specifically provides seed development capital and assistance to independent directors. Topics must be of broad international interest.

Educational Television Development Fund

Atomic Productions also provides varied levels of funding for specifically for the development and production of commercial educational videos and programming. This fund provides development funding for educational, either computer/video/DVD-based or traditional television programming, suitable for international audiences.
