Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission Policy Dialogue

A national conference was held on 21 September 2007 to present best practices in PMTCT care, key research findings and discuss how to improve information transfer in the health system so that mother and baby are ensured of correct and timely PMTCT care.  

The conference was organised as a videoconference between medical schools in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, drawing nationwide participation from PMTCT experts, academics, health workers, activists and mothers.
